There are many types of veneer on the market, most of them being named after the lab that makes them. Brand names such as MAC, Lumineers or Da Vinci refer to some of the lab-made veneers available. At Sensura Dental we can also offer bespoke, same day CEREC veneers. The best way to find out which type of veneer is best for you is to book a consultation with us. We will be able to explain the best treatment option for your particular case.
Depending on the type of veneer used the price will vary. Expect to pay £400 - £800 per veneer.
Ceramic veneers are very strong and should last for at least 15-20 years. They should function just like a natural tooth and be strong enough to be used in a normal way i.e. biting apples etc. Composite resin veneers can be made in the same way as composite bonding. Composite resin is much weaker than ceramic however so expect a composite veneer to last around 3-5 years. They will not be as strong as ceramic veneers so caution should be taken when biting onto hard foods. The benefit of composite resin is that it can be very easily replaced and the cost is substantially lower than ceramic based alternatives.
